From November 5 to 7, 2024, Tillerstack presented itself at BELEKTRO in Berlin – one of the leading trade fairs for electrical engineering and building equipment. A special highlight was the presentation on the second day of the fair as part of the “Building Services Engineering Forum”, where the innovative data glasses solution OSRA was presented. Under the title “Data glasses in the toolbox – remote maintenance of heating systems”, the audience was given an exciting insight into the future of digital support for tradespeople on site.

The importance of digitization in the skilled trades was emphasized right at the beginning of the forum by Andreas Schuh, head of the Berlin SHK guild: “Our trades need to be rethought – networked and at all levels: technically, in terms of training policy, and in terms of association strategy.”
The focus of the Tillerstack presentation was the live demonstration of the latest OSRA features, in particular, automatic speech recognition. This feature allows spoken words to be transcribed directly into text – a significant advance for the practical use of OSRA. The power of this feature was impressively demonstrated by means of two examples: A search in the “Open Data Pool”, the ZVSHK database with comprehensive product information, and efficient maintenance documentation with fast and precise recording of information by voice.
This innovation opens up exciting possibilities for OSRA to access and use AI-supported data sources – a milestone for digitalization in the skilled trades.
Another highlight was the welcoming address by Dr. Severin Fischer, State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises in Berlin. He praised OSRA as “a practical tool for the skilled trades” and emphasized the importance of such innovations. The Tillerstack team had already convinced Dr. Fischer of the innovative power of the product, which emerged from the HWG 4.0 research project, in a personal meeting in August.
The presentation attracted numerous interested visitors, who visited the Tillerstack booth after the presentation to try out OSRA themselves and learn more about the solution. The enthusiasm and positive feedback made BELEKTRO 2020 a complete success for Tillerstack – an event that provided inspiration and valuable momentum.
